ABOUT us

The Dance Shoppe, or DS for short, is a dance studio that has stood the test of time.  DS has been in business for the past 36 years!  With the adjustments and growth of dance in general, the Dance Shoppe has adjusted its procedures and teachings to stay ahead with the changing industry.  If you start your dance classes here, no matter if it's one class or 10 classes per week, you can be sure that The Dance Shoppe will be here for you and/or your dancer to progress and grow year after year.

The Dance Shoppe is available for beginners to advanced students of ages 3 to 18. Whatever the level your dancer wants to achieve, whether recreation, performance, or competitive, TDS has qualified instructors and programs that are tops in their field.

The Dance Shoppe always considers age appropriate music and costumes.  Performance opportunities are provided for dancers to have a positive experience.

It is important to TDS that our teachers and choreographers are excellent role models. From our youngest to oldest classes the teachers are chosen for their expertise and fun personalities to ensure the best experience for each dancer.  Parents can have the piece of mind knowing that their child is training with the highest standards and expertise available.

TDS strives to provide a direction in which to positively channel the energy and enthusiasm of youth, while providing a skill in a challenging atmosphere.  We encourage excellence which develops a positive self image.  This is a solid foundation that a successful life can be built on!

Hair

Makeup

Hair should be worn pulled away from the face in a style that looks best for each dancer unless the teacher has specified a certain "Hair Do."  Make sure any hair accessories are bobby-pinned in securely.

All girl performers should wear a little make-up (eye shadow, blush, lipstick, and mascara for older dancers)  The make-up helps their faces to show up better under the bright stage lights.

Pictures

Professional Photographers will shoot pictures in the Spring.  They will photograph all classes and individual dancers.  Please come for group pictures even if you do not plan to purchase them, so that all the dancers will be in the class pictures.  More information will be coming regarding scheduling and prices.  Be sure to have costumes pressed and ready for picture day.  Unless your teacher specifies a certain "Hair Do," hair may be worn in the style that looks best for each student.  Makeup is optional.
